Overview

Cherish A. Kenner is an associate attorney at Strauss Massey Dinneen LLC. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage and defense and general casualty litigation.

Cherish earned her B.A. in English from Louisiana State University and her J.D. from Southern University Law School. While at SULC, she worked as a research assistant to Chancellor-Emeritus B.K. Agnihotri and as teaching assistant to former Chancellor Freddie Pitcher, Jr.  She also studied abroad at the University College of London. Prior to beginning her legal career, Cherish taught English and History to middle school students in St. John Parish and at KIPP New Orleans.

Before joining SMD, Cherish’s experience includes a prestigious position at the Louisiana Supreme Court as the Law Clerk and Research Attorney to Associate Justice Piper Griffin and a clerkship with Judge Veronica Henry of Orleans Civil District Court.  In private practice Cherish handled insurance defense, commercial / securities litigation, personal injury and family law matters.

Cherish is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Greater New Orleans Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, and the Association for Women Attorneys. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, binging Netflix shows, and traveling with her husband and dog.
