Best Lawyers first gained its name in the industry by publishing a “who’s who” list of lawyers, awarding annual honors to lawyers all over the country for their illustrative careers. Soon later, they realized the need for something to demonstrate the full range of the legal talent. Firms were being built by those who showcased the individual Best Lawyers award. In 2010, Best Lawyers released awards for not only individual lawyers but to award the entire firm with “Best Law Firms.”
